The Universe is truly smiling on us, no rain and what a hot night in Invercargill it was...yes the Deep South is obviously much maligned as being quite a chilly wee spot, so not all is as we are told.Fired up the shuttles and ventured into town, and Bevin after asking several blokes where the Burt Monroe bike and other bits in Hayes Hardware store was...he doesn't do verbal instructions well lol, we found it and were quite amazed at the number of bikes on display along with an engine a working one I might add, made out out aof all sorts including a mens urinal bottle like you see in a hospital modified into a muffler. Against others advice...why would you go to Bluff there's nothing there, it's the end of the world...well we did anyway and were very happy we visited this remote outpost of the galaxy, was really lovely looking out from a cafe atop the hill..ok never had Roasted Addiqtion coffee served lacking both crema and decent steamed milk...but we did see Stewart Island offshore in the sun. Rode on to Nugget Point and had awesome views down sheer cliffs to see seals having fun in pools despite cosmic fog trying to envelop us. Rode on through cute little Kaka Point and Balclutha(not so cute) and reached Dunedin or Mosgiel to be exact and parked shuttles for another night, but this time staying with my very lovely cousin Michelle's and lovely husband Barry... we had first real bed for a couple of weeks.

The night went well with stir fry, and vino, OK started with a few ales moved onto wine, well just what universe were we in by bedtime was a mystery I think...watch this space...doo do doo do.......

Scotty are you there man?? Can you get Bones for me...tell him to meet me on the holodeck....oh dear I wish I really was on the holodeck or anywhere...Scotty can you beam me some place nice says Bevin, one where I don't feed seedy and oh yip....gotta check out the curve at the bottom of the porcelain, so tell me Bevin could you still recognize dinner ...oh am I not sounding sympathetic enough....didn't you say sympathy can be found after sh#t and suicide in the dictionary. So loading up the shuttles did not go at quite the normal pace...needed some horizontal rest stops in between. Rode a fairly non inspiring stretch of road up to Christchurch...way too many shuttles and craft on the road, but we did stop at the most lovely little village, Moeraki and sat having a lovely coffee and scone looking out to sea and later moved a wee bit further down beach to look at the boulders
...the very special round ones found there. Thankgoodness for the shuttles state of the art navigational systems AKA TomTom, made finding our way into Christchurch and to Bevin's uncles a dream. Went visiting another of my lovely cousins and his lovely wife Glennys, and she could not stop looking at Bevin's new blonde do...she loved it...heaps haha

We are now camped in Bevin's Uncles Firework Factory...yes shuttles are keeping a safe distance. Weather looking not so flash today with meteor showers(ok thunder and lightening perhaps) predicted for the evening...not so flash for Ben our son riding down late today to meet us for our last days of exploring New Frontiers. We decided to head for the hills...literally here in Christchurch ...headed off to Lyttleton oh and wouldn't you know it a most excellent coffee cafe the Lyttleton Coffee Co no less...mmmm they have their own roaster, funky cafe just how we like it too. Jumped into rain suits and up over the hills and far away we go...well not that far thought of Akaroa then nah too drizzly so headed for one of those big galactic malls...a Westfield no less for a bit of inside type therapy.Off for Pizza with another Auntie and another lovely cousin tonight as we await Ben's arrival
